The pink lady’s slipper, one of the markers of spring in the woods. This series of small watercolors, 7″ x 5″, was painted to benefit a small West Virginia educational foundation.

Another of the series of West Virginia wildflowers, created after several fine days of botanizing in the mountain woods, filled with fabulous wildflowers, only to be seen by those who know where to look. I was fortunate in having an expert guide, my cousin Heather, who has explored these woods for many years. Thanks, Heather!
